About the Event
Craft + Design is a contemporary craft show, produced by the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, that has garnered a reputation for showcasing the finest in museum-quality craft. Craft + Design is held in the historic Main Street Station’s train shed and draws more than 10,000 people to shop the work of over 150 artists from all over the country.
Craft + Design is the signature event of the Visual Arts Center of Richmond, a non-profit community arts center located in the heart of Richmond’s Fan District.

*VisArts members receive one or two free general admission tickets, depending on their membership level. These tickets can be claimed online or at will call. You also may pick up your tickets at VisArts’ front desk.

Getting to main street station + Parking
BY TRAIN
Out-of-town guests can take Amtrak trains directly to Main Street Station.
BY CAR
Public metered parking is available in the lots surrounding Main Street Station. Street parking is available throughout Shockoe Bottom, and several paid parking garages are located within a short walk.
VALET PARKING
Valet parking is free to all guests on Friday night during the McKinnon & Harris Patrons’ Preview Party.
BY BUS
GRTC Pulse runs down Broad Street, from Willow Lawn to Rockett’s Landing, every 15 minutes. Rides are $1.50. Hop off directly in front of Main Street Station.

About the Visual Arts Center of Richmond
The Visual Arts Center of Richmond (VisArts) is the largest non-university studio-arts program in Virginia. Each year, VisArts offers more than 1,000 visual and creative arts classes in clay, wood, fiber, painting, photography, printmaking, glass, metal, drawing, writing, decorative arts and other visual media.
For almost six decades, VisArts has helped adults and children explore their creativity and make art. Each year, VisArts offers 1,500 visual and creative arts classes and touches the lives of more than 40,000 people through its classes, community outreach programs, camps, workshops and special events.
